I'm writing to you all because i want, and need your help and support.
Recently one of my very good friends, Jean has decided that she is going to run a marathon... she is running the Nike Women's Marathon to Benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma
i admire her deeply for doing this, for i could never see myself doing something so generous.... today that changed....
I found out to day that one of my most favorite people in the world has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Although i don't know him, Mr Andrew McMahon has touched my heart and soul through music. He has done so much for me with his music, and his energy. I admire him sooooo sooo deeply. And to hear he has cancer now has broken my heart.
I thought about directly helping him, donating money to help him get better. I thought about it through... and through his music he has healed so many wounds and hearts out there, that he would love it just as much as if i did the same.... I know he has the love and support to get treatments and such, but not everyone who has this disease does...
So i have decided that for the summer and up until Jean goes to do her run, i will help raise money to sponser Jean. I planned on sponsoring her, but not in the way that i want to now.
I will be soon making a page dedicated to me raising money for this. I will be emailing and calling many people that i know. Its very sudden, but in my heart i feel i have to do this. Andrew and his band Something Corporate have brought me through the roughest times in my life. I want to help someone do the same.
In a Tribute to MR Andrew McMahon i want to help others overcome. I want to help others get better. I want others to live another day with people who love them, and cherish thier lives just as much as i cherish the music that has helped me though life.
